The police are pursuing a group of suspects who appear to be teenage boys who were photographed stealing an electric bicycle using an angle grinder outside the East London shopping mall in broad daylight.

A video circulated on the Internet showed that one of the boys used a power tool to unlock the bicycle and then awkwardly left the high-end bicycle.

Londoners have been reacting angrily to this shocking video online, especially the shameless nature of the crime that occurred in front of shoppers.

The shared video was recorded outside the Surrey Pier Shopping Center at 1:32 pm on Saturday, November 6.

It shows two boys wearing black clothes, one wearing a balaclava on an electric scooter, and the other standing on a bicycle with an angle grinder and his hood.

Shoppers and staff standing nearby seemed to be looking confused at a voice asking the thief "Is that yours?"

After the lock was cut, a third boy in a gray jacket could be seen riding a bicycle to help the main thief when he drove away and installed the stolen electric bicycle.

The stolen bicycle was a black and sand Trek Powerfly, which also had a bracket and front and rear lights.

Online searches show that the retail price of the model often exceeds £3,000.
