The new teaser for Peaky Blinders' sixth and final season finds Ada delivering a warning to Tommy, hinting at a potentially troublesome future.

Peaky Blinders has released a new clip ahead of its sixth season, teasing the fate of Tommy and Ada. The BBC crime drama series created by Steven Knight originally premiered in 2013, receiving praise from fans and critics for its immersive story and vicious portrayal of post-war Britain, and has rapidly expanded its fanbase internationally after Netflix acquired distribution rights in 2014. Set in 1900s Birmingham, Peaky Blinders follows the exploits of the Shelby crime family, a gang that sews razor blades into the peaks of their caps, in the aftermath of the First World War. The series features an ensemble cast that includes Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Tom Hardy, Sophie Rundle, Adrien Brody, and the late Helen McCrory.

Fans of the series last saw Michael get cast out of the Shelby family after proposing a restructuring of the company and later declaring rebellion. Meanwhile, Ben died amidst Ada's pregnancy, and Tommy's plan to assassinate Mosley was thwarted, resulting in a mentally torn Tommy pointing a pistol to his head. In January, it was announced that the upcoming season 6 of Peaky Blinders would be its last, but that it would continue its story in a feature film to satisfy Knight's intentions on ending the series with a movie.

Now, BBC has posted a teaser for the final season of Peaky Blinders that alludes to two of its characters' fates. It sees Ada (Sophie Rundle) caution Tommy (Cillian Murphy) that one of them might not be around much longer. Whether referring to life or Shelby Company Limited, Ada's words point to a potentially troublesome end for one, or both, of the siblings. Check out the new Peaky Blinders season 6 clip below:

For fans of Peaky Blinders, the anticipation for season 6 continues to grow, yet some questions remain surrounding the show's final run. With the late Helen McCrory playing a prominent role throughout the duration of its first five seasons, many are left wondering if her character, Polly Gray, will be absent. There is also the question of who betrayed Tommy and foiled his assassination attempt when Barney was killed by an unseen person with a silenced pistol. One thing is for certain though: Following Tommy's emotional reaction at the end of season 5, as well as Ada's warning in the teaser, audiences can expect more disaster to ensue for members of the Shelby family.

The good news for fans is that a Peaky Blinders film is still set to follow the conclusion of the upcoming television finale. With filming planned to take place in 2023, it will not be long before the Shelbys' story continues on the big screen. For now, fans will have to wait to see how Peaky Blinders decides to wrap up its television run when the sixth and final season premieres in 2022.
