Two men in their 20s were arrested for the killing and dismemberment of a 55-year-old man in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fort Wayne police reported Shane Nguyen's disappearance on April 24, but his mutilated body was found in his van the next day. Mathew Cramer, 21, and Jacob Carreon-Hamilton, 20, were arrested for the death and dismemberment of Nguyen. According to Wane.com, they were detained on Monday.

A police affidavit published on Tuesday showed that the victim's van was found by a policeman on April 24. The affidavit stated that when the police went to investigate, the black van behind the building drove away quickly. During the chase, the driver jumped from the van and the passenger moved to the driver's seat.

The van eventually hit the backyard of a house on Forest Park Avenue near Dongzhou Avenue, and the driver escaped from the vehicle. The police then found Nguyen's body in the van and put it in a black garbage bag.

The Allen County Coroner's Office ruled that Nguyen's death was a homicide, and an autopsy revealed that he died of blunt head trauma.

The affidavit stated that the detective found a receipt for the purchase of tools in the van, including a hacksaw, blade, plastic bucket, shovel, tarp and a large knife.

The police also collected CCTV footage of three men buying these items. An eyewitness identified one of them as Carreon-Hamilton, and detectives identified the other as Cramer. The affidavit stated that investigators also found other footage showing these people driving Nguyen's Honda Odyssey van.

Detectives then found a picture of Kramer on social media, which showed him in a storage facility along the North Coliseum Boulevard in Fort Wayne. The affidavit stated that investigators found a blood-stained tarp on the scene with a large knife on it.

Police believe that Carreon-Hamilton and Cramer dismembered Nguyen's body in the storage room. After the bodies were mutilated, Carreon-Hamilton and Cramer loaded the bodies into the back of the truck for disposal, "but a policeman found them behind the building," the affidavit said.

Kramer was found in Lakeville, Indiana on Monday and was subsequently taken to the Fort Wayne Police Department for interrogation. The affidavit stated that he told officials that he had asked Nguyen to take a ride from Elkhart back to Fort Wayne and planned to kill Nguyen before they reached Fort Wayne. No motivation is given.

When they arrived at Fort Wayne, Kramer said he asked Nguyen to drive him to a storage room on North Coliseum Avenue, where he locked him in his throat until he lost consciousness. The affidavit stated that Kramer then banged Nguyen's head on the sidewalk, then pulled his body into the storage room and killed him there. According to police documents, Cramer left Nguyen in the storage unit, locked it and drove back to Goshen to purchase items with Carreon-Hamilton and another man named Cody Clements by the police.

The affidavit stated that Kramer told the police that he later returned to the facility and cut Nguyen's body with a knife while Karen Hamilton was holding the body.

When detained on Monday, Carreon-Hamilton told police that he was sitting in a van and Cramer was "doing everything he did" in the storage room. According to the affidavit, Carreon-Hamilton stated that he had nothing to do with Nguyen's death, and he did not know why they bought tools from the Goshen store.

Kramer was charged with murder, resisting law enforcement, and corpse abuse, while Karen Hamilton was charged with assisting criminals, resisting law enforcement, and corpse abuse.

The 20-year-old Clements has not yet been charged, but he has been detained.
