An industrial products distributor in Oklahoma purchased a Dayton tool manufacturer.

Metalworking and industrial supplies distributor BlackHawk Industrial said on Monday that it has acquired Tools for Industry and its subsidiary Service for Industry.

The acquired company is an industrial distributor and manufacturer with an office in the production court in North Dayton.

Blackhawk itself has a location in Huber Heights, but is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

BlackHawk said the acquisition strengthened its influence in southwestern Ohio.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

BlackHawk President and CEO John Mark said in a press release: "We have not only assembled an excellent team with a wide range of new customers, but also expanded the scope of our solutions by adding some unique manufacturing capabilities."

BlackHawk said that Tim Ozvath, former president of Tools for Industry, will join BlackHawk as the team leader and will help integrate local companies into BlackHawk's Dayton regional branch. The company said that 13 employees have joined BlackHawk.

Tools For Industry is a family business that has been operating since 1967. Charles Ozvath co-founded the company with his then partner James Rhinehart. Ozas passed away in December 2017 at the age of 81.

BlackHawk describes itself as an industrial distributor, focusing on metalworking products such as cemented carbide tools, abrasives, saw blades and fluids.
