After the comedy show mocked her and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green as part of the new holiday series, Colorado representative Lauren Bobert criticized the Saturday night live performance for "poor performance."

The satirical skit aired on Saturday night depicts a Republican congresswoman holding a semi-automatic rifle and calling the coronavirus pandemic a "fake disease."

"The government has been using this fake disease to deprive us of our freedom. Do they think we are stupid?" Green (Cecili Strong) asked, Bobert (Chloe Finman) Replied: "Please, will they give a stupid man a gun? Yes. "

"First, they said the closure was before they found the vaccine," Green continued. "Then they found a vaccine and said it worked. Then they said everyone should get it. Then people got it and saved their lives. If that's not communism, then my dear, I might not know about communism What is it."

"So Merry Christmas, remember," Bobert added, "A gun can't kill anyone—everyone."

On Sunday morning, Bobert attacked the long-running NBC comedy show on Twitter.

I just watched the SNL sketch that performed poorly last night. Seeing the terrible trigger discipline of the unknown actress who played me made me feel that Alec Baldwin received gun safety training there. By the way, when did they transfer SNL to CNN to die out of irrelevance?

"Just saw the SNL skit that performed poorly last night. Seeing the poor trigger discipline of the unknown actress who played me made me think that Alec Baldwin was there for gun safety training. By the way, when will they transfer SNL? It doesn't matter to CNN to die?" Bobert wrote.

The latest episode on Saturday also teased Dr. Anthony Fauci (Kate McKinnon), former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (Pete Davidson), and his brother, the recently fired CNN host Ke Reese Cuomo (played by Andrew Dimquez). This episode is hosted by musician Billie Eilish and guest musician.

Boebert's attacks on the show echoed similar comments by Donald Trump, who criticized SNL several times throughout his presidency. On one occasion, Trump even called for "retaliation" for the show and asked the federal government to "investigate" his comedy criticism.

"A show like Saturday Night Live is really unbelievable. It's not funny/no talent. They can spend all their time knocking on the same person (me), over and over again, without too much mention." On one side. "Ads without consequences. The same goes for late-night shows," Trump tweeted in 2019.

“Should the Federal Election Commission and/or the Federal Communications Commission investigate this? It must be in collusion with the Democratic Party, and of course Russia! This kind of one-sided media reports are mostly fake news. It’s hard to believe that I won and I’m Win. Approved rating 52%, Republicans 93%. Sorry! #MAGA," he added.
